Market Research Experts

Allan Benedict – President

Allan graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 1980, having attained a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science, with Honors, in Management.  The combination of psychology and management proved to be an excellent training ground for market research and consulting, in that social behavior research training within the psychology discipline meshes well with the organizational and marketing orientation of management.

After graduating from college, Allan joined Nordhaus Research in Southfield, Michigan and became a partner after four years.  He then established the Detroit office for FGI, Inc. in 1997.  In December of 1999, Allan formed his own company, A&K Research, to better focus on the needs of his long-standing client base.

In 1996, Allan was selected as one of Crain’s 40 Under 40, a program sponsored by Crain’s Business Detroit magazine recognizing influential businesspeople in the Detroit area who are less than 40 years old.  He serves on the Finance Committee at his church and is President of the University of Detroit Jesuit High School & Academy Dad’s Club.
